What better way to show someone how much you love them then by making a handmade card that also helps save the world?! This week we show you how to make warm and fuzzy cards from almost completely recycled materials.

Materials Needed:

• DIY upcycled beads (we have a tutorial!) or long beads left over from a previous project.
• Old butcher block paper, a cardboard insert or cardstock. We used leftover cardboard from our Kiss Naturals kit.
• A glue stick
• Scissors
• Leftover cardstock or scrapbook paper 
• Crayons, paint, colored pencils or markers

Start by folding your cardstock or butcher block paper in half vertically. We love repurposing one of our old cardboard inserts because it gives our card such an earthy vibe!

Cut out a rectangle of leftover cardstock or scrapbook paper. Glue the paper horizontally across your card.  Allow 2-3 minutes for the glue to dry.

Now use 6 beads to create a flower. Start by placing one end of a long bead in the center of your card and glue it down. Continue placing one bead at a time (gluing as you go) into a circle.

Place a few more beads in any design that you choose. We decided to add a hexagon shape around the beaded flower.

Write your message on the front and the inside of the card.
